Endurance & Promise: Running the Race Together.

God has blessed our faith community, through good times and challenges. We have much to celebrate and more to look forward to as we continue to ask ourselves who we are in the life of Stevensville and how we can come alongside the work God is doing here in our community. We’ll look at our church as it is today, how we impact our community and each other as we seek to carry out our mission as we discern God’s will for us. Finally, we’ll take a time to look ahead, to vision together at what God might have in store for our congregation. And, of course, you’ll have a chance to make a commitment of your time, talents, and money to the mission and ministry of Stevensville United Methodist Church. You’ll be inspired and blessed. Join us beginning the second Sunday this October

A Look Back - The Race Run So Far | October 15th, 2024
Hebrews 12:1-2 and 1 Corinthians 9:24-25

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders… and run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

One of the things that marks great sport matches is the thunder of the crowd cheering people on. Part of what motivates fans is the journey people have been on and the successes they have achieved. We will reflect on Paul and what light it shines on our accomplishments as we celebrate what God has done here.

Where We Are - Running Today's Leg | October 22nd, 2024
Philippians 3:13-14 and Galatians 5:7
“But one thing I do… straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Sprints are powerful, explosive races with a clear finish. Faith is more like a relay race and a marathon. Even as the recent legs of our race together is an amazing testimony, the race isn’t complete and everyone has a role to play right now. Learn to recognize today’s opportunities and challenges as we keep pressing forward in our mission.

What is Possible - Running Toward the Finish | October 29th, 2024
2 Timothy 4:7-8 and Acts 20:24
“My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.”

What does the future look like? The challenge in the relay is committing to continue running the race together, knowing we are part of something bigger than ourselves. What could the next leg of the race look like and how the can we help make that vision a reality?
