Mission efforts and ministry organizations SUMC supports:
Blackfeet United Methodist Parish
SUMC supports this tribal parish and community collecting/distributing food or winter-weather needs, providing in-person assistance as we are asked, and sharing our financial resources.
Loaves & Fishes
A SUMC ministry that provides food and hope to individuals in the Stevensville area and Ravalli County whose financial circumstances make it difficult to provide for themselves and their families.
Prayer Table
What began as a way of honoring and remembering military personnel has become a way for the congregation to lift up all those who have found a place in our hearts. We invite everyone to light a candle during the time of praise music to give thanks or as a prayer of intercession.
Prayer Shawls
We have a dedicated group who craft prayer shawls for those identified by the congregation. The shawl is passed through the congregation during worship to be prayed over.
Thank Offering
SUMC started this outreach program in 2000 to give financially on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to the multitude of organizations people support.
The Missions Committee select these particular recipients for the Thank Offering.
